I really wanted to pick out a perfect birthday card for my mom’s 50th birthday. She’s so unique and special – not because she’s my mom, she’s truly unlike anyone else I know – that I wanted to get a card that I thought really looked like her.
So I started hunting for one a few weeks before the big day. At first I thought that I could find her one online and couldn’t quite find one that I liked when I looked at some specialty shops with wild blue. Then I remembered that one of her favorite little shops in town sells some cards too. I went there and it ends up that they stopped carrying birthday cards months before that but the owner, who knows me and my mom by face now because we go there so much pointed me to another store that she knew would have exactly what I was looking for.
Thank goodness she was right! I found a card at that other store that was hand made with little printed mockingbirds on it and it was just so cute! It definitely suited her and just stuck a gift card inside for the gift.
