When I was in my 20, I have friends who are entrepreneurs, and he was like a contagious enthusiasm for starting a business for yourself, that I often persuaded to accede to haved in the exploitation of entrepreneurship. For some reason we did not speak when we really believe we can become millionaires nevar, and looking back now I can see why.
All of our business ideas around the trade of used cars, centered, because we both worked in the automotive repair industry and know the market, so why do we fail wasnot. But when I look back on what we do not now, I know why we are doing. So, here I will fail to tell the story of our company, and maybe you’ll see where we went wrong.
Always with a call from my friend tells me of a big buyer of cars in a second-hand car, where he has worked a lot with low prices, buy we found could begin. We haved combine our forces and buy said car, and spent the next week to clean, repair and make good investment for our business. We know the resale value of each vehicle that we buy, and have always make the possibility of earning a profit of at least 50% and we haved to rub his hands together with the vision of our profits. We advertise for a car ad car in the paper that is used in the area and even pay extra for paper professional photographer to take some photos. If the paper was published on Thursday haved we sat and waited on the phone to ring.
Saturday we have haved decided in usually a few calls and we were too high prices, and lower to the list next week. In retrospect, this is our second business failure, the first a copy of our ad in the newspaper, it sucks and thats why we do not get the call, not because the prices too high. So we had lowered the price once we got the call, and the audience for our cars now cheaper. will come almost without fail these potential buyers and offer us much cheaper than here haved applied because it is dominated by small traders, the business better than we know and have seen the same car registered in two weeks and falling prices, and are white despair when they see it.
Always on the third week of poor advertising copy, drop and we do not discount the price up to the point where we just cut to just break even. Someone will be cheaper prices, usually on the front page for even more sales from our first prize, or worse for our battered egos back in the same newspaper, which we for a higher price than we would haved used appear to haved hoped even dared to, but not more than two weeks.
And this again and again for several years, with similar results for our great ideas auto business, no selling, no millions, and still fix the vehicle for the benefit of someone else.
This is where the error is displayed after our business.
1st Poor ad copy, we have no hope, no calls to our big cars with our ads are very simple and boring, even with pictures. The words do not just sell.
2nd Prices drop when you start your price decreases are your potential customers you do not see your business or product to believe service is adequate, and if you do not believe, why?
3rd There is no business plan, even though we have tons of enthusiasm, we do not have a solid plan, even if we the first car that we will be bombed, because we are not in possession of a proposed space to be sold.
4th Lack of professionalism and poor ad in the newspaper business we are in fact, We are two enthusiastic amateur, with no possibility of telephone and poor salesmanship, we also lack the confidence to keep our prices and a stick until it is sold suffering .
5th Impatience, I think this business is our biggest mistake, and I see too often in the online entrepreneur. Impatience is your business. Entrepreneurs, my friends and I do not want to wait for our profits, we want immediate results, and those who do not just happen. Ask any successful “overnight” and they will tell you that they can only be achieved overnight success after years of trying.
6th Do the same, and get the same bad results. We never change our routine, it does not work, but we continue to follow the same steps, and not in a similar manner. We should test and improve our sales techniques, but we use the same ad formats in the same newspaper, and dropped the price in the same manner each time.
To take a step back and watch your business practices, you can think of to make this mistake?
Expect instant wealth from your business? Are you sure that the decline of the price you get to make more sales? Need to improve your ad copy? Does your company image shows professional? If you do the same every time, but expect different results?
Be honest with yourself, you are looking for might make mistakes and do not always make the same mistakes every time. Hopefully you can learn a little from the mistakes and play my business to your own business to become what you want in this year.
