Planning, Tools and Safety Equipment PhotoAs a former manager of safety in the petrochemical factories ALL I firmly believe that the injuries with the proper planning, equipment can be avoided, and safety equipment.

I do not think always that way. When I started as a young carpenter high scaffolding up to 600 meters, I thought it was just an accident is sometimes unavoidable. When I gain more experience and first hand experience of the accident, but I changed my position. All accidents are preventable.

Most accidents occur for three reasons. Workers do not take the time to assess the situation and decide what is best fell to the task or workers who are trying to defeat such a period or have completed a task to achieve before the clock stopped. The third did not have the right equipment or tools to perform the job safely.

Let us analyze individually. When I worked in petrochemical plants, workers generally in teams of two or three people. What we propose to teach them to be open about the work at hand, different methods to get jobs and products necessary to perform the work safely. Nothing is done until it has received about all this and vote in all to complete the work in a safe manner. We have several thousand employees, and went two years without a lost workday accident in an environment that is very vulnerable to accidents.

There is never a reason for a job at the expense of safety to rush. Urgent impede proper planning and clear thinking, and it will always lead to accidents, poor workmanship or both. That makes no sense in a hurry when you know that the probability that you get through it without damage, you’ll need the above mentioned, or even worse, one can not survive.

There is no excuse for not using the correct tools and equipment to do a job. The rules are quite simple if you do not lead to sure about the tools and the job does not start the job. This is one of the great contributors I see for workplace injuries and usually combined with a rush.

This is basic advice that I would do for you if you go back home with all that you will want to work with.

Wear suitable gloves to keep your hands from cuts, to protect burns, and abrasions.
Wear safety goggles to prevent foreign objects into your eyes.
to wear hearing protectors, so the noise level of the damage your hearing permanently.
If you are involved in the work with heavy lifting, carrying a backrest.
